Research Training Support Grant
All NWDTC students have access to a Research Training Support Grant (RTSG), which can be used for a number of research related purposes including conference attendance, UK fieldwork and the purchase of books or other key resources. The process for claiming expenses is outlined below:
Overseas Fieldwork Funding
NWDTC Students have the opportunity to apply for overseas fieldwork funding during their PhD. Eligibility rules apply. Competitions run three times a year – please see the Important Dates page for details of upcoming deadlines.
Overseas Institutional Visits
NWDTC students have the opportunity to apply for financial support to go to overseas Universities or esteemed research organisations in the interest of network building and research dissemination. Competitions run three times a year – please see the Important Dates page for upcoming deadlines.

Interdisciplinary Fund
NWDTC Students are encourages to apply for funding towards organising PGR-focused interdisciplinary events. Interested NWDTC students should apply via the NWSSDTP, and details can be found here: https://nwssdtp.ac.uk/current-students/interdisciplinary-events/
